Mutated Tulip

One of Jen's favorite things are tulips. For this reason, we have about 20 tulip bulbs planted. We have either deer or bunnies eating them because every year we're disappointed at the number we actually see. This year we have been watching our sole surving tulip plant...and look at it! It has over 60 little tulip flowers blossomed already with a bunch more to flower yet.

This is a picture looking from top down This is a pic from the side. (Sorry about the blur, the camera focused on the woodchips in the background). At the bottom of the tulip are a lot more green mini-tulips yet to turn purple.

Just wanted to share a little bit of fun with you all!

TBall

Tball has started! Nate is making a great head coach and Daniel is the cutest little thing out there. (And, by little I mean the littliest one!) They don't quite get the concept yet, but they're doing a great. Daniel will slide into home every time he gets there. He can hit and run great - he has speed :) He's pretty good at getting grounders. But the catching and throwing need a little work. Here's a pic of him up to bat. I'll have to work on getting a close up of him in uniform. Their team name is the Honkers.

Happy Spring!

We can be outside. Finally! The last couple of weeks have been busy ones for us. We went to the cabin over Mother's Day. It was wonderful weather. We started in Altoona at Irvine Park on Saturday morning. I just took the pictures off my phone, so we must have more on the camera. Here's Andie outside the bear/tiger den.

One morning it was raining, so Daniel put on his rain boots and got out the umbrella to shield himself and Andie as they walked into school. Mommy stayed in the rain, but it was all worth it for this picture.

Park fun! We have gotten out to the neighborhood parks a couple of nights now. Daniel will either ride his bike or scooter and Andie will either ride a little hot-wheels type bike or the cozy coupe while being pushed. It takes us quite a while to get to the park or even around the block!

The kids also enjoy these new chairs. Daniel has started to call it his 'snack' chair. I guess they've gotten a couple snacks while sitting in here...

School Pictures have been taken. Andie's turned out great, so here it is (We bought the digital rights to it so we could print our own pictures). Daniel's turned out ok, but none that we loved. So, we'll have to get his 4yr pics scheduled soon.
