Weekend Update

Our plans were slim this weekend. Friday night we lounged around home and went for a walk. Saturday, Jen and Daniel went to cousin Angie's wedding shower. We met Mom, Jen and Brooklyn for the drive. It was soo great to see everyone. We sure miss Brooklyn and Jen. (and we don't see Grandma enough either) Sat night Nate had to work overnight, so Daniel and I went to the park and played until bed time so daddy could get some much needed sleep. Sunday morning, Daniel and Mommy went to see Sara and Chase and Maddy. They sure had a blast together. We had yummy chicken nuggets and french fries. And Chase even shared his cookie with Daniel. Then they played in the dog kennel toghether :) When we woke up from nap, we ran over to the neighbors to run in their sprinkler. Daniel didn't like it at all, but we were able to get some swimsuit pics. They also gave Daniel a golf set. Daniel has a little owie on his forehead from falling on the sidewalk, but other than that, we're all healthy.
Look at this smile Brooklyn gave her mommy! What a sweetie!

Daniel smiling for the camera in his cool swiming trunks.
His new golf club!

Past Due Update!

We're way past due on an update. We really haven't done much, so there hasn't been too much to write about-except this past week.
This weekend we went to the cabin to do more renovation (and relax). The walls have been painted a nice pale yellow. On Sat morning, we laid the new floors and put trim around mostly everything. We still have the doors to do. (and again, by we, I mean Nate) Thanks to Tim and Dad for helping with this. It would have been tough with only 2 people. Here are some pictures:
The main decor: the shower curtain and matching valances. We'll need to get a better picture.
Nate and Daniel got in some time to go fishing. Daniel loves to be on the boat. We didn't catch very many fish, but the weather was beautiful.
Here's Memorial Day. Daniel enjoyed the snacks with great grandma and grandpa (or Big Papa and Big Gramma as he calls them)
Here's the rest of the clan having a snack. (Except Matt and Ann-Liz's brother and his finance are taking a nap!)
Here's what Daniel looked like after snack - What you can't see are the messy sleeves.
Daniel loved to spend his time going in and out of the camper. In and out...in and out. Thank goodness Liz was around to watch him!
A super cute video of Daniel counting on our bed. He LOVES to count. Unfortunately, he wanted to see himself after he started. But, it's still cute.
Other news: Our daycare decided to downsize. We were really sad, but it was a good time to look at our situation. We've decided that I'm going to go to part time-working Tues, Wed and Thurs and will be home with Daniel on Mon and Fri. We're putting Daniel in a New Horizons center the days I work. Today is his first day. Nate said he did great. He was a little shy at first, but when he left he was sitting down with the rest of the kids ready for breakfast. He LOVES kids. It's amazing how social he is. At Nate's softball game last week, he grabbed a baseball, walked up to a little boy and said, "Hi boy. Play ball?" So we know he'll do just fine. Any adjustment is scary though...Mom's having a hard day today! Must be hormones!!
The pregnancy is going well. We'll be 19 weeks tomorrow. I know I owe a picture! I promise before week 20. I just started to pop, so there hasn't been much to look at!!! But, I'm feeling really good. I didn't really get too sick this time around, so it's been great. I'm getting my energy back too-which will come in handy with Daniel! I started feeling kicks pretty early-around wk 15. And, Nate has felt it already too. This baby is sitting very low though. No kicks have been above the belly button yet. We have our ultrasound next week to count fingers and toes :)
What else? Nate's baby sister Katie got engaged. That's great! We love Mike and can't wait to share their special day. We get to see Brooklyn and Jen this weekend. We saw John, Amy and Will on Sat. Along with the Fedie side for Aunt Lorena's retirement party. It was very nice to see everyone.
That's about all I can think about now...
