Full Weekend

This weekend started off with a hail storm! It was a beautiful Friday morning rain. The hail was mostly pea size, but Daniel sure had fun watching snow/ice fall from the sky.
Then, somehow, the boys got a hold of the camera! Look at my 2 cuties...
Nate played in a softball tourney, so Daniel and I got to go watch him. Friday night, he played at 6, so we got some McDonalds. Let me tell you, that was the most of a game I've been able to watch! Daniel sat so well through the first 5 innings chewing on french fries. We saw Nate hit a 3 run homer and make some great diving catches! The team went 2-2 in the tourney and were done playing at 5 on Sat night. The original weekend plans had Nate doing an overnight change for work, so Daniel and I took off for the farm Sat at naptime. We had lots to do when we got there. First up was to pick veggies for dinner. Grandma had a great plan to bring Daniel's wagon down so he could put the veggies in it and pull it around, but as you can see from the picture below, he just wanted to ride the 4-wheeler :)
Then, we had to feed the goats. There are 6 babies now. One tried to eat his ear a couple of times. Then, of course, he found a gate to climb.
He helped grandpa feed the goats hay from the hay mow.
Sat night, we had some great visitors over for hamburgers. Aunt Mary came with Steph and Landen. Here are the boys playing with water. Aunt Brenda and Jerry camve over too. They stayed for a nice fire. It was so nice to see everyone.
Sunday morning, we went to see Greta and Carter. Daniel had a blast following Carter around the farm looking at all the cows-there were babies and big cows and even one 'mean' cow (the bull). They played on Carter's swing set.
They sat down to watch the milkman come get the milk from the barn.
The best part of the day was when Daniel got to drive Carter's gater around through the puddle.

Daniel the Baseball Star

Tonight we played some baseball in the house. Daniel impressed us both with his hitting skills. He likes to throw the bat a little hard though. It was pretty funny. It was hard choosing a video, so here are a couple of them:

4th of July

We went to Jen's parent's cabin for the fouth of July weekend. Nate did the finishing touches of the remodeling project that he's been working really hard on in the Cabin's kitchen. He and our neighbor Tom built some nice new cabinets which Nate finished in the garage and installed a couple of weeks ago. After completing that, he was able to finish installing all of the door casings and baseboard trim. Now, that he's all done for the summer, he's really excited that he doesn't need to bring a truck full of power tools back and forth to the cabin anymore.

Jen found a great deal on a bike trailer at a garage sale, and after a little T.L.C, we were able to get Daniel into it for the first time. He loves his new Spiderman helmet!

Nate's Father's day gift from Daniel was a new bike, so that he could pull him in is new trailer. They sure had fun cruising the neighborhood

Falling Behind

Well, we've fallen behind a bit from our last post, but we're stil here. We've had some relatively uneventful past few weeks, but we've been staying busy. Daniel is still doing really well at his new "school". The teachers say that he's the entertainer of the class. He loves to sing his favorite songs for everyone like "old McDonald had a farm", and "Twinkle twinkle little star", including numerous unique variations to each tune.
On Father's day weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Fedie came up to spend some time with their children and grandchildren. Daniel and his cousin Will went to the Como Zoo for an afternoon of fun looking at all the animals, and enjoying some rides. Nate, on the other hand, spent much of the weekend playing in a softball tournament in Brooklyn Park. We didn't do quite as well as we should have, but we had a good time. Daniel even made it to one of the games to cheer his dad on.

Daniel's Going to Work...

Last night Daniel put on Nate's shoes and said he was going to work. Here's a shot of him walking around. In case you can't quite hear, this is what the dialog is:

Mommy: Tell mommy where you're going.

Daniel: I'm going to work

Mommy: You're going to go to work?

Daniel: yeah

Mommy: bye-bye. Bye

Daniel: See you soon. I'm going to work and then baseball.

Other Daniel news? He's been wanting to use the potty lately. This morning was the first time he's asked for it, so that was great! I'm glad to have 4 days in a row with him this weekend to work on it. He gets 2 M&Ms if he uses the potty chair. He loves those, so it seems to be working. Sometimes he wants to sit and go, but he doesn't have to go. He tries soo hard and doesn't want to get off until he goes. Poor guy. It'll come soon enough!

20 Week Ultrasound

Here are some pics from our 20 wk ultrasound this morning. The baby looks good. Heartbeat was a strong 149. It's soo cool to see all of the pictures and watch the baby move around. Baby cooperated very well with all of the pictures that needed to be taken. And, nope-we didn't find out the gender!

Cute little toes...
