Great Weekend

We had a great weekend. On Fri, Grammy and Grandpa Quist came up. We had chicken on the grill! On Sat, I made cookies...and Daniel LOVES them.
Then we went to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa. Daniel LOVED playing in the pots, but wasn't quite sure what to make of grandpa.
Then we went to hang out with Mommy's friends. I sure miss you guys...It was great to see you! Then, off to Mondovi to hang out with Grandma Fedie. We had a great time riding the 4-wheeler and looking at the animals. Lucky for us, a baby calf was born today! We saw it try to stand up for the first time! We went to see our good friend Carter Heike too. He's sooo cute :)

Catch Up

Wow. Its sure has been too long since our last update. A lot of stuff has happened. All of our blinds have been installed and they look beautiful. It's amazing how much they soften up the place. We got Daniel's 1 yr pictures taken. The first time we tried he looked scared or mad in every picture. Target was nice enough to let us come back the next day to retake them! We got a good one of him and a good family one out of the second session. On Saturday, I got to go hang out with my auties at the MOA. That was fun. I bought a new swimsuit that turned out to be a flop... On Sunday, we played outside in our new hat. He doesn't like the grass very much, but he likes to play in the woodchips.

We also got our hair buzzed off :) His last cut by Nate and I was very choppy, so we thought we'd just buzz him. He looks soo much bigger! Here's before and after. (Yep-we have some boo-boos. This walking thing is hard!)

Nate decided that it was time to say good bye to his bike. After 3 people test driving, it drove away on Tues night. Here's Nate sitting on it for the last time...and Daniel taking his turn.

Daniel is still a messy eater, but he wants to feed himself. He plays games every time he eats. In the first picture you can see how he puts his cup in the holder on the tray... The second picture is him stacking his food. At one time he had 3 pieces of pasta and an asparagus chunk all on top. He also got some new cups to drink from!

And, finally, some movies for your viewing pleasure. The first one is Nelly making him laugh. The second is of Daniel trying to get her toy to give her. The third is: well, you'll see :)

Nate's Handywork

Some of our blinds got delivered today! Nate took a stab at installing them and they look WONDERFUL! He can truly do anything. Here's a couple of pics of his handy work. So now, we're waiting for the vertical patio blinds and the bedroom blinds to be delivered. Let's hope they are just as easy to install.
And then, of course, here's some more of Daniel showing off the new thing he learned that makes us laugh...

And him showing off how he's starting to move his walking toys when he gets them stuck.

My First Birthday Party

This weekend, we threw Daniel a big 1st birthday party. Everyone from both sides of our family drove up to see him and share his day. He received LOTS of wonderful toys, and played with them all weekend. Here are a few pictures that captured the day. Thank you to everyone for all the miles you traveled to share this day with Daniel. Not only did it mean a lot to him, but to his Mom and Dad.

Daniel's Big Day

Today marks a very special day of Daniel's. It's his 1st AND Golden Birthday! He had a great day at daycare. They had a party for him there and all the kids made him cards. When he got home he had a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting and opened presents! Once he tasted the frosting, that's all he really wanted, so one of the pics he's actually trying to eat his hand. Here are the pictures to make you smile!

Weekend Fun

This weekend was so nice out, we took Daniel for his first ride on the swings! He LOVED it. When the swing stopped moving, he would swing his legs :)
Then last night, we all got ready in anticipation of the Twins home opener. Go Twins :)
