Happy Memorial Day!

Our Branded Little Boy:

We had a great weekend! On Sat, we saw Grammy and Grandpa Quist and Auntie Katie. Then, we went to the cabin. It was pretty cold weather, but we still had fun. Grandpa Fedie found out how to make Daniel laugh!!

We went out on the boat and went fishing. The fish were biting, but they weren't really big. It was pretty fun. There were some bad storms that went through while we were there, so we had to go to the neighbors basement. Nothing bad happened though, just some hail. Our house in Blaine is located right between where the two tornadoes happened, 2 miles to the west and 5 miles to the east, but we only had a couple limbs down. Check out my sweet sunglasses.

Update

Our deck gets delivered today! YIPPEE! Who's free next weekend :)

We finally have all of our curtains made for the main level! Here are some pics. You can see that Daniel doesn't like the ones I put to cover the sidelights on the front door!







Last weekend, we spent almost all weekend outside. We planted some rose trees! Aren't they beautiful?


Daniel sure kept us busy running around and trying to eat all of the woodchips!

Here's a sampling of our 1 yr old pictures we had taken in April. Last night he made the connection of da-da and Nate!!! But, Nate wasn't home-it was to the family picture we had on the mantle. Hopefully tonight he does it again!

Eventful Weekend

We sure were busy this weekend. Nate was supposed to go on his discovery flight that I got him for his birthday, but the pilot called to reschedule because of bad weather. It was windy on Sat morning, but not too bad. Oh well. Daniel and mommy went to Farmington for a baby shower instead...really we went to see Grammy Quist. Then, we came home and worked in the lawn. We fixed all of Nelly's dead grass spots and the vole (sp?) trails. Daniel sure was a help with mowing the lawn...he kept his dad very busy!

Our neighbors had the offical kick off to summer by having a fire. Sun was a day full of events. Just as Nate was leaving to go fishing with a buddy, Amy called with some exciting news! Her and Anthony are happily engaged!!! Congrats guys. You two are very deserving of true love :) Daniel and I went shopping for fabrics for curtains after daddy left. Here's what we made:

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend. On Fri, Grammy and Grandpa Quist came up. We had chicken on the grill! On Sat, I made cookies...and Daniel LOVES them.

Then we went to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa. Daniel LOVED playing in the pots, but wasn't quite sure what to make of grandpa.

Then we went to hang out with Mommy's friends. I sure miss you guys...It was great to see you! Then, off to Mondovi to hang out with Grandma Fedie. We had a great time riding the 4-wheeler and looking at the animals. Lucky for us, a baby calf was born today! We saw it try to stand up for the first time! We went to see our good friend Carter Heike too. He's sooo cute :)
