One Month To Go!

Today at 9am, we passed Daniel's early delivery date/time. A lot of stress has been lifted because we know this baby will be better developed and may not need extra hosptial time...but a lot of stress has showed up because the reality is setting in! We are, of course, hoping that this baby is soo comfortable inside, that it doesn't want to come out until Jen and her dad's bday on the 28th of Oct! Official due date is Oct 21st-4wks, 2 days left!

I'm feeling pretty good. The baby likes to kick me in the ribs-a lot. It is a very active little thing-just like Daniel was. I'm not sure if I can squeeze 2 lbs more of baby in there! Tieing shoes and bending over to pick things up is getting to be a difficult task. I guess I'll just have to stop doing it :) I've officially started the 'waddle' because I'm getting sympathy looks from almost everyone that sees me.
There are some great benefits to being pregnant though. I'm really going to miss having an excuse for ice cream whenever I want it...and the built-in table to put that ice cream on! And, of course the feeling of that little guy/gal squiggling around in there.
Anyway, I've been asked for pics and updates, so here's one! Stayed tuned for more.

Daniel's new game

Our last trip to Target lead us down the game isle... Here's Daniel's new game. He doesn't play it for very long, but Jen's working on it. She can't wait for Family Game Night :) It's called the Animal Scramble.

Como Zoo and Labor Day Weekend

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Como Zoo for the afternoon. Here's a couple pics:
Nate and Daniel when Sparky the Sea Lion came right up to them!
Daniel riding the turtle.

We had a great Labor Day weekend at the cabin! We couldn't have asked for better weather. We went up early on Friday to get things all set up for everyone. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Daniel helping Uncle Timmy mowing the lawn.
Daniel laying on Liz's lawn chair. He said he was 'readin...Like Lizzy does.' (She was doing homework in the sun.)
We set up the pool and Daniel had a blast when Jen threw him in it.
Daniel and Will playing by the pool.
Grandpa and Daniel on the pontoon.
The most exciting news of all...Daniel caught his first fish! He actually caught 2 with his pole. They had great fishing nights on Sat and Sun nights! Here's Daddy and Daniel with the first fish.
Here's a northern Nate got. He was soo close to the cabin when he caught it. (You can even see me in the blue shirt on the back of the pontoon in the pic)
Another good catch from the pro.

Here's a movie of Jen throwing Daniel in the pool. He started throwing her sandals in, so she started throwing him in. He LOVED it! (Look at that belly! Only 6 weeks left!)

There is a small airport by the lake and Great Grandpa kept teasing Daniel that they were motorcycles instead of airplanes. It took a while for Daniel to realize he was kidding, but when he saw Great Grandpa smile as he said 'motorcycle' one time, Daniel just started laughing and told him, "No Big Grandpa...airplane") It was really cute. Thanks for a great weekend everyone!

Daniel's Special Toy

Daniel's neighborhood friends Jack and Paige taught him how to ride a 2-wheel scooter this past week, and he simply could not get enough of it. Jack and Paige have been so nice and have been letting him ride their scooter up and down the sidewalk, but seeing how much he loved riding it (and how much energy he burned while doing it) we thought we would get him his own. He did however have to prove to us that he was a good boy and deserved it. After helping Mom and Dad set the table for dinner, he ate all of his food, and managed to not throw his spoon or place mat on the floor when he was done eating. Those were the terms of the deal, and he held up his end of the bargain... as did we. Check out the pictures of Daniel riding his new scooter with Jack and Paige.

The race is on

I love it!
Cool huh?

Here we go!

Softball Tournament Winners!

The end of the year tournament for Nate's SB team was this weekend and they won! Here's a pic of the champs.
Nate, of course, had a stellar performance. They played 2 games on Sat and 5 on Sun. In total, Nate hit 4 homeruns (one grand slam) and had more RBIs. The Quist's came up on Sun. to watch a couple games-Although Daniel kept Grandpa busy running around.
Sat night we went to the Benson's for their Bday celebration. It was soo nice to see everyone again. Then on Sun, Jen and Daniel went to John and Amy's for a quick dip in the pool between Nate's games. It was a great weekend!

Angie and Tyler's Wedding

We had a great weekend! We started off Friday night at The Quist's for a party! We saw so many friends that we haven't seen in a while. It was a great time. Unfortunately, we didn't take our camera out, so we didn't get any pictures :(

Then on Saturday, we were off to Nate's cousin Angie's wedding. Here are some pics from there.

Our Family

Amy and Anthony
Daniel dancing with Emma-the flower girl. Our videos were too dark, you can't see him dancing, but he had a GREAT time. He danced soo hard. I wish you could all see.
Mommy and Daniel watching the people dance.
Nate and Mike
Nate and Ryan

When we got home on Sunday, we hooked up the boat for a ride, but it started raining when we got to the lake, so we came back home and watched Madagascar instead. (Daniel was exhausted!)

Full Weekend

This weekend started off with a hail storm! It was a beautiful Friday morning rain. The hail was mostly pea size, but Daniel sure had fun watching snow/ice fall from the sky.
Then, somehow, the boys got a hold of the camera! Look at my 2 cuties...
Nate played in a softball tourney, so Daniel and I got to go watch him. Friday night, he played at 6, so we got some McDonalds. Let me tell you, that was the most of a game I've been able to watch! Daniel sat so well through the first 5 innings chewing on french fries. We saw Nate hit a 3 run homer and make some great diving catches! The team went 2-2 in the tourney and were done playing at 5 on Sat night. The original weekend plans had Nate doing an overnight change for work, so Daniel and I took off for the farm Sat at naptime. We had lots to do when we got there. First up was to pick veggies for dinner. Grandma had a great plan to bring Daniel's wagon down so he could put the veggies in it and pull it around, but as you can see from the picture below, he just wanted to ride the 4-wheeler :)
Then, we had to feed the goats. There are 6 babies now. One tried to eat his ear a couple of times. Then, of course, he found a gate to climb.
He helped grandpa feed the goats hay from the hay mow.
Sat night, we had some great visitors over for hamburgers. Aunt Mary came with Steph and Landen. Here are the boys playing with water. Aunt Brenda and Jerry camve over too. They stayed for a nice fire. It was so nice to see everyone.
Sunday morning, we went to see Greta and Carter. Daniel had a blast following Carter around the farm looking at all the cows-there were babies and big cows and even one 'mean' cow (the bull). They played on Carter's swing set.
They sat down to watch the milkman come get the milk from the barn.
The best part of the day was when Daniel got to drive Carter's gater around through the puddle.
